About Kimberly Cox

Kimberly lives in the area of Buckingham with her three dogs: a Border Collie, Golden Retriever and a Jack Russell. She spent her childhood surrounded by animals and this is where her passion for horses and dogs was first discovered.

Since leaving school Kimberly has gained many qualifications in the field of animals: In 2001 she obtained a BTEC National Diploma in Applied Science and Animal Management. Following this, in 2004 she went on to complete her BSc (Hons) in Animal Welfare and Management. Then in 2005, she also became a member of the APDT (Association of Pet Dog Trainers) and is currently studying for a Diploma (Advanced Certificate in practical aspects of companion animal behaviour and training) with COAPE (Centre for Applied Pet Ethology). Kimberly is always striving to learn more in the field of behaviour as this is a real passion of Kimberly’s and she is always updating her knowledge and experience. Kimberly regular attends courses in advanced training techniques, and in the past this has been in a wide range of subjects from: Clicker, Gundog, Agility, Competitive Obedience, Aggression, Instructor skills, Tellington Touch and more.

Kimberly has also learnt a great deal from hands on experiences both living and working with dogs. She has worked in breeding and boarding kennel establishments since leaving school. She is a qualified dog groomer and has also assisted with hydrotherapy. For five years she learnt the skills of instructing and dog training experience by assisting at Julia Meads and Pauline Whittaker’s Training Schools.

Kimberly is very passionate about her work and can truly say she loves her job. She is very driven by her work to educate owners in teaching them the skills to communicate and understand their dogs and this improving many dogs quality of life. She loves to see owners and their dogs having fun, whilst learning new skills and building a great relationship to be able to live in harmony together.

About Dawn Taylor

Dawn Taylor lives in Towcester with her husband and has had her own dogs now for 24 years. Dawn has experience of small dogs (Cavalier King Charles Spaniels) up to larger dogs as her current pack is a Rhodesian Ridgeback called Simba and a rescue Border Collie called Mac.

I have recently completed studies in the area of an Introduction to Canine Psychology and am currently studying an Introduction to Counselling Skills. Next on the study plan is either the APDT dog trainer’s course or COAPE behaviour course.

I am a passionate believer in the importance of a well balanced dog and believe that positive, reward based training helps to enhance the relationship between dog and handler. I am delighted to have been assisting Kimberly in her classes and workshops now for around 2 years and look forward to meeting you in class.
